Wanneer ik aan het spinnen ben met een spintol is er regelmatig een beetje wol waar ik vanaf moet. Thuis verdwijnt dit meestal in een broekzak, maar op een festival, waar ik in kostuum loop, heb ik niet een handig zakje om het in te doen. Dan verdwijnt het in allerlij onpraktische plekjes.
Soms wanneer ik niks beter had dan een riem om de wol achter te steken, vond ik uren later wel eens wat dat op de grond terecht was gekomen…
Nu heb ik eindelijk wat tijd besteed om speciaal voor die wol een zakje te maken die ik ook bij mijn historische kostuum kan dragen.
Het zakje is helemaal gemaakt met handgesponnen garen.
Het bruine is gesponnen toen ik voor het eerst op een festival spon. Ook al is het behoorlijk onregelmatig het was goed genoeg, maar ook net genoeg om dit zakje met de oslo steek te naaldbinden. (yes nu is dat ook gebruikt!)
De hengsels zijn gemaakt met een lucet koord van een klein beetje rest wol, dat ook precies genoeg was voor dit zakje.

Floof pouch
When I’m spindle spinning there’s regularly a bit of floof, aka. fiber, that needs to be discarded.
At home it often ends up in a pocket, but when I’m in costume at a festival I don´t have a convenient pocket, so floof disappears in all manner of unpractical places. Sometimes when I had nothing better than to put it behind the belt I’m wearing, I found some of my floof on the ground hours later…
Now I’ve finally dedicated some time to make a dedicated floof pouch that can even be worn with my historical costume.
The pouch is entirely made with handspun.
The brown of the pouch was spun my first time I was spinning at a festival!
The yarn was very lumpy bumpy, and at places quite delicate. Still good enough, and just enough, to nålbind this pouch, in the oslo stitch, with (yay, now it has a use!).
The loops were made with another bit of left-over yarn. Just enough to make a lucet cord with for this pouch.
