Ik zou een kabeltrui maken. ‘Zou’, want het garen dat ik wou gebruiken blijkt niet geschikt te zijn.
Toen bedacht ik dat het ook mooi zou zijn voor een naaldgebonden trui, weer een nee, want het is behoorlijk dun en het garen breekt erg snel.
Daarom ging ik op zoek naar ander trui patroon en kwam deze tegen, ‘Raspberry & cream’, door Katrin Schneider.
Hoewel voor mij een simpel patroon, nu ik het af heb is het een heerlijke thuistrui die aanvoelt of ik steeds een warme vriendelijke knuffel krijg.
Het garen had geen wolwikkel toen ik het kocht. Ik weet alleen dat het bestaat uit een single ply van 45% BFL, 45% alpaca of lama en 10%nylon of polyester.
Het enige dat ik anders heb gedaan aan dit patroon is om de mouwen langer te maken met omgeslagen boorden, omdat ik dat fijn vind.

From the archive chest: Raspberry and cream sweater

I was going to make a cable sweater. Was, because I found out that this yarn I wanted to use, though nice, wouldn’t do the cables justice.
Then I wanted to make a nålbound sweater of it, but the yarn is rather thin and rips too easily to for that to work without frustrating the hell out of me.
So I went in search of a knitting pattern for a sweater and came across this, to me, very simple and plain pattern.
Normally I don’t go for simple and plain, but gosh I’m loving this sweater very, very much now I’m wearing it.
It is very cosy and gives me the feeling like I’m getting a friendly hug all the time.
The yarn is an unnamed yarn, made with 45% BFL, 45% llama or alpaca and 10%nylon.
The pattern used is ‘Raspberry and cream’ by Katrin Schneider. I only modified the pattern a tiny bit because I like long, and folded back cuffs.
