Pine cones
A little while ago I had already given a go at tatting a pine cone, but with thread that I had spun myself. Unfortunately that thread turned out not to be good for tatting, and the pine cone did not look good.
Weeks went past, and then came the request for multiple people if we would like to make stuff for the autumn display window at Wol Wille.
Of course my mind went back to the pine cone pattern, and before long I had a bunch of tatted pinecones!
About half are now in the display window at Wol Wille, the other half has a nice place at home.
The pine cones are all made with Lammy cotton crochet in a brown colour. Adding sewing thread in a matching colour, made the resulting pine cones look livelier.
The pattern designer is MadJarTatting, and the pattern is called: Pine Cone Tatting Pattern: Christmas Ornament with Beads.
Below I’ve added a picture of the autumn display window at Wol Wille.
