Op dit moment ben ik bezig met 2 grote frivolité projecten.
Dezen hebben in totaal 18 frivolité spoeltjes nodig om lekker mee door te kunnen werken.
Nu heb ik al een mooi aantal houten spoeltjes, maar geen 18.
Ik zou wat van de kunststof spoeltjes kunnen gebruiken die ik nog heb, maar brr nee dank je.
Wat ik daarvoor in plaats deed is om de uitdaging aan te gaan om zelf houten frivolité spoeltjes te maken.
Ik had nog een mooi stukje beuk (met slaap) en een stukje notenhout liggen die hier heel geschikt voor zijn en nu heb ik er 3 ambachtelijke houten frivolité spoeltjes bij!

Tatting shuttles
At the moment I’m working on 2 big tatting projects.
They need 18 tatting shuttles in total for the workflow to be flowing nicely.
I do have a nice amount of wooden tatting shuttles, but not 18.
I could use the plastic ones I stil have, but ewww no thank you.
What I did do is take it as time to tackle the challenge of making tatting shuttles myself.
I had a bit of spalted beech, and a bit of nut wood that would do nicely, and now I have 3 artisanal wood tatting shuttles!
